Annual Members Exhibit at the Library 2020

The Chelmsford Art Society’s Annual Members Exhibit will be held at the Chelmsford Library, from Nov 28, 2020 to Jan. 23, 2021. This year the library is limiting us to 30 pieces so we have to limit submissions to one piece per member.  No charge to members, but please register your artwork using the button below before Nov. 23 so that we may create labels and a price list.

Volunteers who can stay and help hang the show will be greatly appreciated!

Pick up will be on Sat. Jan. 23, 2022, from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

Bus Trip to Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Tentative Reschedule for April 2021

Rescheduled from 2020. Lets hope we can visit the bus trip to the MFA. The schedule the will be bus will leave Chelmsford Center for the Arts at 10:00 am, and return at 4:30 pm.

This trip is limited to 40 participants, members get priority sign up.

Chelmsford Historical Landmarks Poster by Lance Wilder for sale

You can purchase a signed and numbered poster of “Chelmsford Historical Landmarks,” your purchase in part benefits the Chelmsford Art Society. To purchase a poster send your name and address and a check for $33.00 to:

Lance Wilder, pictured above with his poster, has donated $750 to CAS, part of his profits for selling his Chelmsford Historical Poster. Wilder formerly from Chelmsford, now works in Hollywood for “The Simpsons” TV show. Thank you so much Lance, CAS will make good use of your donation.

CAS Scholarship Application

The Chelmsford Art Society yearly offers a Shirley Lavoie Memorial Scholarship to a deserving graduating high school senior.

This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has indicated a desire to further their education in Fine Arts/Visual Arts. Visual Arts include architecture, ceramics, drawing, fashion, graphic design, illustration, interior design, painting, sculpture, photography, video production, etc.

Verification of college acceptance must accompany this application. Payment of the award will be made directly to the school at which the applicant has been accepted and enrolled.

The Scholarship Ceremony is at the 4th of July Art Festival. The scholarship winner is expected to provide several matted or framed pieces for display at the Art Festival. Should the Festival not happen this year, we will arrange another way to present the award.

Interview: during the week June 7 – June 20 *
Student Notification will be before Friday June 26 *
Award Presentation will take place at the July 4th  Art Show
