I grew up in the heart of the Berkshires in western Massachusetts. Fond memories spring from endless hours pushing the boundaries of form with a stack of paper, crayons and scissors. Sculpture was a first love, but since then many other art forms have surfaced in my work, most recently mono-printing.
My professional career began as a print designer at Digital Equipment Corporation and ended in 2019, as an art teacher in Chelmsford. It had always been my plan to focus on becoming a more serious artist in retirement. Printmaking, painting from life, making a mask, cutting a shape, creating a splash or spill – for me it’s all a wonderful discovery!
I’m happily involved in the lifelong process of finding my artistic voice. My work is varied and experimental and it’s what keeps me engaged in the world, and connected to a wonderful group of artists who I’ve been lucky enough to learn from and without whom I’d be lost.
