Brooke Lambert is a printmaker and painter whose work explores the world of light, pattern and color in the ocean and the natural world. Her work celebrates light reflecting on the ocean’s surface, bouncing off cracks, and crevices under water. It also shows the heat of the sun radiating through flowers and leaves. In our current climate, she fells strongly that is is important to share moments of brightness, new life, and hope.
Her primary medium is collagraph printing, in which she builds low-relief plates that she then inks and runs through a printing press, creating embossed paper prints that she then paints on.
Lambert grew up in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and currently lives in Lowell, MA. She received her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Her art is shown widely throughout New England and beyond. Recent shows include ON PAPER, a show at the Smithsonian-affiliated Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center and the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition National Juried Prints Show.
