Laurie Simko is an oil painter inspired by the natural world.
In response to the COVID pandemic she painted a portrait series of 20 COVID nurses, starting with her daughter when she first acquired her protective gear. This series is meant to show gratitude, to honor the frontline workers, and to chronicle this challenging time.
