Priti claims “the magic happens from the moment I begin drawing, and I find myself driven to paint. It is deeply gratifying. This love of the painting process has me looking for cutting-edge techniques, it allows me to tackle a subject in unique and interesting ways, from which the the viewer can find something to relate to.”
She began as a realistic, watercolor painter, over the years became more impressionistic, and now finds herself moving towards abstract and semi-abstract mixed media work. She works with several media but primarily in acrylics, watercolors, and oils. Using different media and the way she uses colors in both realistic and abstract paintings has contributed to her style.
Today, she offers high-quality fine art instruction to adults and older children that teaches students how to “see and read” paintings. She teaches in a group and private lessons.
