March 30, 2020

The Chelmsford Art Society is inviting Writers and Artists to hear Mary Dumas, a successful graphic artist, explain the complex world of independent publishing. This meeting is open to the public so come to the CCA on March 30 at 7 PM.

Mary’s small shop in Western Avenue Studios is in Lowell, Massachusetts, it is called Pop Culture Place.  However, under the name Studio Book Works, she consult with self-publishing authors about getting their works into the world.  Covers of books are a growing market, and artists need to know how to navigate in that world.  What their Intellectual Property means, and how to retain their ownership of a painting, while still selling it to someone for their living room display.

Do you want to learn the Art of Self-Publishing? Would you like to see your artwork in books? Mary’s presentation to the artists would be a conversation about the following:

Bethany Peck Demonstration
February 23, 2022

Bethany Peck Demonstration on February 23, 2022

Join use for the first demonstration of 2022 to see Bethany Peck explain her process of intuitive painting while creating an expressive marsh scene.

Bethany said “My primary focus is in expressionistic landscape oil paintings. In my paintings I use natural elements of Heaven, Earth, and Water to evoke emotion. When I work, I rarely use references, I prefer to paint intuitively and direct, allowing my emotions to dictate my process.  I am not interested in painting traditional or representational paintings. What really interests me as a painter is creating work that expresses emotions translated through the paint”.

The presentation will be Live Streamed by the Chelmsford Art Society on February 23, 2022 at 7:00 PM. Here is the link to the livestream for Feb.23, 2022: https://youtu.be/lLaJx6LCH5s
